I didn’t sleep at all last night. Lilly had another episode and kept me awake throughout most of the evening. Since her surgery, (2 years ago) she occasionally experiences episodes of stiffness. She almost appears to be in a daze. Immobilized almost, restless and sore. She spent most of the night standing in one place on my bed, unable to relax or find a comfortable place to lay. She has even been seen sleeping while standing when this happens. Im assuming its because her body becomes so exhausted that she finds comfort in any way she can. I panic when she gets like this, luckily it doesn’t happen very often. Last time she had an episode such as this was at least 3 months ago. They are few and far between and i believe it has something to do with her leg and pelvic replacements. Lilly’s back right leg and pelvic area have both been replaced with metal, surgical steel perhaps. Im not quite sure the medical term for what they used to replace the bone. What i do know is that too much of her bone was shattered and destroyed during the car accident, and this was the only solution. So now she stands as somewhat of a bionic robo pig, a magnificent steel warrior if you will. She is a warrior, in every sense of the word. My fighter, my best friend, my pig.
